Dolly and Ted

I think that is what they're called; Dolly and Ted. It's what my mum and dad call old couples. In fact, I've heard them refer to these generic geriatrics as 'Dolly and Teds' so often I thought it was a commonly used nickname.

So, just some doodles. A slightly more pleasing Dolly, in fact, until about 12 minutes ago I was pretty settled on her design, then I had a quick flick through my sketch book and suddenly realized that no, no I HATE her too.

And just after writing that and really meaning it I've changed to the opinion that actually I quite like her. Though dumpy Dolly is so much more pleasing and sweet. Plus she looks like my favourite fairy in Sleeping Beauty (I watched it the other day- I was hungover). then again I like the interesting angles of Crooked Dolly and her face DOES work, it's just harder to get right. gah, I need to make these people in 3D.

I'm so damn fickle.


Edit- I can't fix the formatting of this post. I'm tired and the irrational behaviour of the image arrangement is making me want to cry. I'm going to go to bed instead. good night.
